The Enchanted Princess

The Munx is never quiet, and her brain never rests. I envy her imagination as she dresses up or holds tea parties in the basement or reads a story to her imaginary friends and dolls. She is into jewellery and make-up and looking very nice as a young lady should and is trying desperately to convince us that she is 21 (fifteens). The Cali numbering system. If you are in the good books you will here she likes youu "13-11". As far as I can tell I think she learns something or uses a new word every ten minutes. Her Aunt Simona can vouch that dinner on Thursdays is never boring.
Other breaking news is that Cali got invited to her first birthday party - a boy in her class named Charlie. I can admit that it caused mixed emotions. Happy cuz she was so happy - Ecstatic actually, and sad cuz my little girl my munx is going to go to parties and have friends that are not me. Selfish yes - the truth....also yes. I never want her to not want to share with Dad...I hope it never comes.

I'm so sorry

This letter is mostly to Cali herself. I was very hard on her the other day for no reason at all. As any parent does, I love her to bitz and forget sometimes that at three and a half she is way beyond her age...Both in vocabulary and in personality. She truly amazes me. With that said, I find myself being extra hard on her sometimes and I wish I was not. It is something that I need to improve on because I want her to think that she has the best Dad in the world cuz I try very hard. I hope she can see that sometimes.

Here are some pictures of her more recently. I need to improve on that too.

A real Lady

Cali is growing up to be one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. She melts me. She is so quick and so clever and at times very introverted to the point where I just watch her be at total peace by being by herself. I love the munx so much that it makes me cry. Not crying cuz I am sad or that I am happy, it is more crying to know that I will watch this person go through so much and I only wish that I could have her avoid a whole lot of things. I know I can not and I know that she will learn through life....It is just that....I am her Dad and very proud of it. Here are some recent pics for you guys.

The Squirrels sleep in Kettles

Hello Everyone;

A lot has happened since the last time this was updated. Cali has become a big sister which takes very seriously and is very committed to being the best one EVER. She has started ballet which she loves. THe ballerina in full force - look out. She has also recently started pre-school at pathways. It is a place that if i had a zillion dollars I would want all the little people to go there. THe people and teachers are wonderful and anything that makes my daughter that happy is alright with me. To see her light up when Jen and I tell her she is going to school the next day is priceless.

Cali is growing like a mad child - She is 3ft 3inches tall. That is a far cry from when she was born at 21.5 inches long. Watching her grow and her vocabulary expand is mind blowing. I love her very much - obviously as ever parent does their child - but she is very special - she has magic. I do not doubt that as she gets older it will come out more and more - "The Munx" is truly golden and her new partner Fudz is going to make the two of them a force to be reckoned with. I may not be welathy but with my girls I am rich.

Here are a couple pictures taken this morning before school. This will explain the title of this entry.

Its been a while

Hey everybody; I know it has been a long time but things have been a little nutty around the homestead. Cali has been progressing rapidly - both in her verbal skills and her utter beauty. She amazes me everyday. Last night her fish died - Nemo. It was kind of sad. She thought she had popped his head off. So we had to explain that he has gone to a better place and she helped daddy send him to whre he had to go via - toilet. Not very damaging but an unfortunate lesson all the same. She also knows how to spell dad now. I think that is so cool. Cali also had a playmate for awhile - Brenden. Her cousin from out East. She had a lot of fun with him. He played nice with her and usually succumbed to her demands......they are many.

I love the munx so much - it pierces.

Her imagination is a raging!

Cali has come to the conclusion that "Brady", her husband who is five years old and is in school is no longer the cream of the crop. Move over Brady, It's Brett, Brett, Brett. Cali likes Brett a lot she likes his hands more than Papa's. They are clean. He is one of the children under Diane's (another Caregiver) care. Cali has a fascination with cleanliness alost to the point where you might wonder how clean can a three year old be. She likes boys. A lot. I am eagerly awaiting the break through in science where time can be made to stand still. I so dont want her to be "boyed". She is the Munx another day.
